An intrusive energy may be self-made or non-self meaning it may come from within or without. Our traumas, woundings, and unmet needs have a way of solidifying in our bodies if left dis-integrated. They take up space, displacing our spirit and often manifest as physical and emotional symptoms and are often called thought-forms. Non-self intrusive energies are usually projected, intentionally or unintentionally, at us from outside sources.
Some ways we end up with intrusive energies:
Our traumas, wounds, unmet needs create or created an opening for or alignment with energies or entities that vibrate at similar frequencies.
They are intentionally projected on or around us by those we have contact with. Commonly referred to as a curse.
They are unintentionally projected on or around us as we move throughout the world in our day to day lives. This is called miasma, or energetic dust.
Ancestral energies we have carried forward through the family line
An intrusive entity may be sentient or non sentient meaning it may or may not have an awareness or will of it's own. A sentient entity is a disincarnate spirit or being that has an awareness of itself with motives and will of its own. A non sentient entity is a being without an awareness of itself, does not have motives or willpower of its own but exerts persuasion by its existence alone.Usually these spirits are benign and looking for healing or are confused as to how they are now in your body or energy field.
Some ways we end up with intrusive entities:
An entity is looking for healing or help and believes you can offer it to them and may attach to your field. Occasionally, they can find an opening within you.
You, or your ancestors, made a soul contract with a spirit to perform a task or lend assistance in a time of need.
A wounding or trauma creates an opening by vibrating at a similar frequency as entity
Overshadowing + Sovereignty
Overshadowing is a term used to describe any thought, energy, entity, belief, person, place or idea near and around an individual which intrudes into their energy field to influence and effect the individual.
Overshadowing from intrusive energies or entities are a pretty regular occurrence but I often find there is a stigma of fear and shame around the work. It is a natural part of the human experience and the way I approach the work through a loving, gentle, and compassionate way for the sovereignty and well-being of all involved.
To be sovereign means to be acting in accordance with one’s own self-will and highest good unobstructed by foreign energies/entities/beliefs. Even if we have willingly given our power away for altruistic purposes, the problem with overshadowing is are out of sync with the truest purpose of our higher self. Overshadowing is different than being one with Divinity/Source Energy/Spirit because we are Divinity/Source Energy/Spirit. We can certainly align with a higher power or directive, but we should not sacrifice our free will as a violation of our sovereignty.
