My name is Vanessa. I've been a healing arts practitioner for the last 15 years. I am a licensed massage therapist, craniosacral therapist, certified coach, certified Ayurvedic wellness counselor, amateur sound healer and herbalist. Among these trainings, and many others, nothing has taught me more about the way people heal as the gift of walking beside my clients along their inner and outer journeys.
My approach to healing work is built on the foundation that healing and wellness is not a luxury afforded to only those with enough resources to access it. We live in a system that, by design, profits from not prioritizing our well-being, instead valuing our productivity and capitalizing on our overperformance. This system of value leads to exhaustion, unhappiness, anxiety, and stress which is then compounded for marginalized folx and people with trauma. While my practice has not always been grounded in these ideals, I've come to understand that love and light is not enough to dismantle the ways we've internalized current systems of kyriarchy and that the wellness industry needs a massive overhaul of priorities and accessibility.
In this work it has become important to me to create an intentional, accessible, and resilient space for healing and education, prioritizing the need for both self-care and community-care in order to thrive.
