This series is divided into 3 overarching themes with a 2 hour evening class and 4 hour ritual for each theme. Evening classes are designed to explore the topics and prepare for the ritual itself.
Rituals will take place to facilitate the release and integration of grief and shame in loving community. Time will be given at the end of ritual to connect and share.

This class is held within a loving container of sovereignty, body positivity, compassion and inclusivity. All are welcome.
Floor cushions and chairs are provided as needed. Please come hydrated and dress comfortably. You are welcome to bring anything you might need to feel comfortable during our time together.
About our Community Altar An Altar will be set up specifically for this class to hold us in a container of sovereignty, healing, compassion, and safety. You are invited to bring a small biodegradable offering (flowers, herbs, fruit, chocolate, etc) to join our collective effort in sending prayers and intentions of healing to our shared community. If you are working with specific spirits/energies/ancestors, please feel welcome to bring items to represent and feed them while they are on our altar.
Community Potluck All too often self-care is is a solitary practice. Time will be set aside after each of the 3 rituals (not evening classes) to open a space for sharing, integration, and connection. Please feel invited to bring a snack or small plate to share with the group.

Vanessa Ainslie (she/her), LMT, CLC, CST, AWC Owner and founder of Madrona House Apothecary, Vanessa is a healing arts practitioner and educator striving to create an inclusive community based healing arts center. She brings 13 years of practice and offers Trauma Informed Bodywork, Energetic Healing, and Personal Ritual. Her practice is rooted in reconnecting to the pre-abrahamic land-based practices of her ancestors in right relationship with the Spirit of this land. Vanessa is a 4th generation immigrant from Greece, both Sephardic Jew (from the Middle East and Mediterranean areas ) and Ashkenazi Jew (from Poland, Russia, Hungary, and Lithuania), German, Blackfoot, and Cherokee. Look for the red cow restaurant and take the concrete stairs to the immediate left. Come up the wood porch to the right and through glass door that says Unit C! Street parking is abundant in the neighborhood.
Accessibility Info: We have an up sloping driveway with 5 concrete stairs that lead to a wood porch with 3 more stairs.
Due to the nature of being an Apothecary we are not a scent free environment. We do, however, strive to keep our space free of any synthetic fragrances and APPRECIATE YOUR ABSTAINING FROM WEARING ANY SCENTED BODY PRODUCTS.
